SINCE PLANTING THE VINEYARDS IN 1989, Brian and Lori have committed themselves to sustainable farming. And with help from local winemakers, Brian has learned to work with the nuances of a strenuous mountain environment to produce quality grapes. “Mountain fruit keeps me guessing, but I love the challenge.”

Every portion of production and farming is overseen by Brian and his vineyard crew. Many members of Vinoce’s crew have been with the winery since the beginning, and have become part of the Nuss’ extended family. The stability of the crew is a critical element to maintaining high quality fruit. Each vine is carefully looked after and hand-tended. Like most thoughtful winemakers, Brian discovered that wine is largely made in the vineyard and recognizes that his crew’s efforts help him make fine wine.
